Hideaway Herdla is beautifully situated next to the third green on Herdla golf course<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Herdla golf course is a friendly links course. Taking inspiration from Scotland \u2013 the home of golf \u2013 and designed and built by Scots, the course boasts sea views from every hole: Hjeltefjord to the west and Herdlefjord to the east. The course has become very popular with golfers from across the region and was awarded the \u201cBest Hospitality 2024\u201d prize by the European golf network Golfamore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Herdla\u2019s mild climate means that the course is open for large parts of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 18-hole\/basket course is laid out on a former fortified area. Some of it is extremely exposed to the elements, making some of the shorter holes some of the most difficult.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Then Herdla is definitely the place for you! Visit Herdla Museum to see exhibits including the remains of \u2018Gold 16\u2019<\/em>, a German Focke Wulf 190A-2 fighter aircraft that crashed off Herdla in 1943.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Walking & hiking<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just a few metres from the fjord suites is a path leading to a trail running the length of Ask\u00f8y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow the 10 km route or hike the full trail to Kleppest\u00f8 and come back by bus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
